Physical wounds were easy to deal with, they hurt or they didn't. They were there or they weren't. At most, they caused pain; at the least, mild discomfort. Moving past the scars in the mind was harder. Leaving behind betrayal, broken hope, shatterred dreams--was the hardest trial in the world. Looking at his batterred form, Kamui wondered whether or not he would escape from himself, or if he would drown in the dark.
