Please note that this is almost an exact replica of the above post, and that their respective subject lines are switched. Tim's name will become =^.^= {&!timeo} Also, these two are not siblings--they were merely created in tandem: male and female. The first shadowshifters, born at the dawn of time.

Shadowshifter
[ShadowshifteR?]
More often than not, a shadowshifter is seen merely as your shadow staring back at you, although they do take on a solid form (usually as a cat). No matter what they appear as (solidly), they are always black, and always will have the same indigo eyes. Being a shadow themselves, they do not cast one in solid form. Possessing the magic of the dark, they can become whatever they want, whenever they want, and become the shadow of whatever they want, whenever they want, although they tend to shy away from bright light (unless, of course, it is moonlight) and the daytime hours. When using magic, it appears as blue-black fire and is highly dangerous if anything other than a shadowshifter should touch it. Likewise, being injured by a shadowshifter (more often than not by claws) will leave bluish scars on the skin, even if it is only a mere scratch. Shadowshifters do not breed. If one should come in contact with another, a fight will more than likely occur. If the blood of two shadowshifters mix another shadowshifter is produced, but it is highly unlikely it will survive. It will either 1) be killed by one of its parents 2) be left to fend for its own or 3) its mother will take care of it in, although this rarely happens. Since the population of shadowshifters is so low, and the 'shifters themselves so sparsely distributed, they hardly come in contact with each other in the first place.

Like that of a rattlesnake's waiting for its prey.
