The All-Maac teams were just announced. On the men's side, Ryan Schneider was named to the second team. RJ Hall is on the all-rookie team. On the women's side, Julianne Viani and Rachel Fitz are first team. Erica Allenspach is third team. Brandy Gang is on the all-rookie team

Schneider should have been on the first team...I realize that Marist finished 10th but the man was 4th in the conference in scoring, 2nd in rebounding, and 2nd in 3PT made (7th in percentage). He was robbed. He single-handedly kept Marist in game when they should have been getting blown out.

I would love to hear (and I hope some of the Siena fans that click through here make the case) how Hasbrouck deserves First-Team honors? He's the most overrated player in the league. 8th in scoring, outside of the Top 20 in rebounding...8th in 3PT percentage...At times he's definitely among the best players in the MAAC dont get me wrong, but he's also extremely inconsistent. The best thing you can say about Kenny this season is that he plays on the best team. Personally, I would have rather seen Alex Franklin on the first team than Kenny Hasbrouck.

Very nice recognition for the players. Would be great for Marist to help end Vianis career with another MAAC championship. Hall showed some signs he may be coming out of it in the Niagara game. Hopefully that was some type of confidence boost. Allenspach is gonna have big numbers next year.

to Siena's fortunes than either Kenny or Ubiles, but the Siena guys say I'm nuts and they feel Alex hasn't stepped it up as much as the other two. They should know I guess, but that team really struggles when Alex is out. Maybe its because he always seems to go for 20 and 12 against Marist that makes me believe that he is better. It was Kenny's POY to lose and he did what he needed to do. Maybe he dropped the ball in some big out of conference spots, but he was good enough in league play and his team met any and all realistic expectations this year.

I would love to have seen Schneider on the first team. He played his butt off for Martin this year. I'm sure his teams poor record and being out of the MAAC leaders in shooting % were factors that hurt his case.

Good to see that RJ made the all-rookie team. Nice confidence booster for a kid that got thrown into some very tough spots this season, and will be a very big part of next year's team.

Typical great job by the Women.
