Siena is great, Jeter sucks, Mike from Clifton Park....Siena is great, Jeter sucks, Mike from Clifton Park....over and over again, week after week. OYE!

I will tune in if Siena loses cause it will be a laugh riot from a non-Siena Fans perspective. Maybe it will become Fire McCaffery, Jeter sucks, Mike from Clifton Park.....

GGaff I know you've listened to Granack for a long time, but the A-10 thing stems from his hatred of St. Bonaventure. They wouldn't schedule Siena or something like that, and it burns Graney to this day. He gets a kick out of juxtaposing SBU's struggles with Siena's progress, adds in a comparison of Olean to Albany, their fan base and the TUC and presto you have Siena belonging in the A-10.

Frankly, I think Siena has positioned themselves perfectly to be a year in, year out contender in the MAAC. If the Tournament becomes any more permanent than it already is then they could be even stronger by virtue of the recruiting advantage they will accrue.

The other thing about the MAAC is that they place very little emphasis on any other sports. Seems to me that emphasis on sports other than men's basketball is a school by school decision. Moving up most likely will cost them $ on other sports. I don't think the Siena Admin has the interest in shelling out $$ for facility upgrades for "Olympic" sports teams. (Do they even have an outdoor running track?) Nor do I think would the boosters who seem to be very happy with the emphasis on men's hoops. They own the sports market in Albany right now as it is, why mess with a well executed plan.

I've been listening to him since I was 12. He does know his stuff. Does harp on things but is interesting when kept on good subjects. Personally, I think Marist should rule in every sport. They have the $, academics, campus, and location. There is no reason they shouldn't be the top dog...I'm hoping Martin gets them there and keeps them there..
