they fight by heck, just there isn't an answer to be had with this group of players.

Last 3 mins. of regulation tells the story. JB goes 2 of 4 from the line and Marist could only score on 1 of the other 4 possessions. In fact I don't think anyone other than Schneider had a field goal in that stretch plus the OT.

Nice job by Bauer and JB. Just didn't get much else out of anyone but Ryan S.

0-7 in OT over the past 2 years, and the losing streak live on with Rider in PoTown next.

Certainly like the way Schneider fought back today. He had a putrid shooting game but still managed to go for 21 pts, 11 reb...that's what good players do. He made most of the shots that counted down the stretch and all of his FT's. It would have been nice to have his jumper at the regulation buzzer fall but it fell off...what are you gonna do.

Bauer played solid today, LB had a good game in the post but 4-10 FT's is not acceptable, especially in a 1 pt loss. That ruined his day.

Gregory was a bit off today. Devezin played better but missed alot of mid range jumpers down the stretch and that's pretty much it.

The above guys are the team.

We continue to get nothing out of Hall, Goodwin, Parris, Taylor and Vouyoukas. Taylor is a walk-on, a lightly used role player at best so he gets a pass. The other guys though....

I still really like Hall. He's going to have a nice career but 3.4 ppg and 1.0 apg in 22 mpg over the last 5 games...seriously??? Is this chalked up to that f-ing "wall".

I don't want to hear the word "wall" anymore. They said during the game today that Parris, Goodwin, Hall and Vouyoukas all had hit a wall at various moments of the broadcast...this doesn't seem to happen to other teams players so much. Parris and Goodwin all have a full season of CB under their belts for God's sake. Vouyoukas plays what 5 mpg? He should be fresh! With Hall I could see him dragging if he was being asked to play 30-35 minutes in his first year but he's only out there for 22 mpg. The freshman from other teams who even play more have not seemed to hit that "wall". Remember Gavin hit the "wall" last year too along with Goodwin as well. Maybe our strength and conditioning program needs a look.

Speaking of Vouyoukas...hello Division II. He contributed a ball through his hands, a travel, a foul and a missed 5 footer...solid again.

Goodwin and Parris...7 points, 6 rebounds and 1 assist in 52 minutes. Both of their number continue to plummet. Parris had one good moment with a steal and finish but he committed three horrendous throw aways to the sideline to more than counteract the positive play.

I will stress again that next year's rotation should be Devezin, Hall, Bauer plus the six newcomers and that's it. Maybe a smidgen of LB for certain match-ups. As far as DG, JP and AV go...this has become a really LARGE sample of futility for all of them. Regardless of whether any of them has an isolated good game down the stretch...I think I've seen enough.

I agree with all of your points except on Vouyoukas. I want to see what he can offer next year. Hard to give up on players with some size in the MAAC. He might be shell shocked at this point as he is clearly overmatched, but some time in the weight room, etc and he will be serviceable.

But only if he can learn to control the rock. Late in today's game he grabbed a rebound and when back up strong to draw a foul. It was so startling that Dean and Ed both said "that's how you do it" almost simultaneously. L.O.L. Bottom line he made a proper "basketball move" and got rewarded with a trip to the line. He must lack hand strength or maybe the game still move to fast for him.

The free throw shooting is just awful outside of Ryan S. It will always be a liability no matter how much better they become at other aspects of the game. It will haunt them like it did against Siena and again today. No wonder they can't win in OT, and get into so many OT games.

I think Taylor story is terrific. I hope he is on the team next year. But, if he is getting serious time again, then he is either gonna be a bigger story, or the team is putrid once again.

Parris is a defensive specialist, Goodwin, I'm not sure. If AV is gonna be around I hope they red shirt him like they did with Ryan Stilphen. It did Stilphen wonders as he was able to bulk up and work on skills.

Like you, I am willing to give RJ a lot of time. He has had a tough year emotionally when you take the Siena and Loyola games into account. I'm sure he felt like rolling up into a ball more than a few times this season.

I give them more credit than it sounds I do. We have all had tough moments standing alone and if the experience hasn't killed you, its made you stronger. The guys haven't jumped ship. They can still have a good moment or two before the season ends.

It would be nice if they got a better shot than Schneider hoisting with a few seconds to go every time they need a game winner. I'd rather see a Devezin drive for a layup or foul. It just seems that they never really get a good shot when they need it. The worst part is that they could have 6 or 7 wins right should. Should definitely have 5. I still can't believe they pissed that Siena game away.

Another tough loss for this team. Again Martin needs to take some of the blame he does not work officials the way other coaches do and that is one of the reasons we don't get calls down the stretch. Additionally, Schneider got fouled at least twice on 3's and no calls... Martin needs to at least once this season get a T to make a point or statment with the zebras. First half team fouls at one point were 5 - 1 against Iona, then it was 12 - 5 -- that is 11 straight calls against us. Cannot happen without some sort of outburst by the coach. Clapping louder does not make a point with an official.

Also lets other coaches dictate. Iona switched from man to zone in the first half and our offense didn't score for about 7 minutes... we never ever change defenses. Then at the end of the game and OT Iona went to a small 4 guard lineup and we just did the same thing, which forced us to take LB or Bauer out of the game, instead why not us put in LB and Bauer and move Schneider to the 3 slot and make the other teams adjust to us. Rookie coaching mistakes.

Good points, guys, but who are JB and LB? I'm assuming you mean Parris and Williams, respectively.
