Very interesting game. Marist and Loyola need this game. Loyola needs it a bit more since it is a home game for them. I am very interested in how the Marist men react after the historical Siena comeback. Two very similar teams. Marists biggest advantage would probably be having two very good points vs. Rudolph. I see Marist pulling this out as Loyola has a similar weak front line like us. They rely heavily on Barney to score even though they have some good guards. Probably means their offense lacks offensive flow (pure speculation).Patsos will probably focus on limiting Schneiders oppurtunities so Marist will most likely get some over year scoring average production from Kaylen Gregory and Javon Parris. I want to see Bauer get 20-25 minutes this game. My prediction is Marist 65-62.

but Marist needs to win a league game on the road. "No PIG For You" can't happen w/o a couple. And no time like the present to get started. As they did for 37 minutes the Foxes need to limit second chance points. How many points below their scoring average was Siena last Thursday until Marist's missed free throws essentially became a parade of missed defensive rebounds for Siena to turn into fast break points.

Marist needs our 1-2-3 to stalemate their opposite numbers and hope, as unsettling as it may seem, the front court can win the battle up front. In addition to getting a body on Reid at all times, it would help is Bauer has a good offensive game, JB keeps up his decent work on the offensive glass (11th in the conference)and Alex needs to have a good day on the defensive glass.

I really hate the early time of this game though. Combined with the long trip, players must have been up around 6 A.M. Gotta avoid the bad early start.

no game yesterday for the Foxes like the Holiday Festival scenario though, and Loyola played away on Friday. No reason for the Foxes to come out of the gate slowly. Not the end of the world if they don't win, but a "W" would allow me to take the good parts of Thursday's game to heart a lot more. Would say something about their character too.

Sounds like Marist is trying to display every type of utter incompetence during this stretch of the season. Missing uncontested layups down the stretch? All I have to say is three words: Kaba and Drummond. Chuck spoke about being accountable at the end of games in Thursday's press conference. Looks like there is a way to go on that lesson. Almost afraid to ask. How was the ft shooting on Marist's part?

The guys have played hard and made a lot of progress. They are off until Friday and I hope they can get the mental ship righted before then to keep the season from really slipping away.

Kudos to Loyola for their performance from the line, but they weren't exactly facing the #1 team in the league. And I do seem to remember a game last March in Albany.
