Subject: Error code = 2 LM9811 R/W check failed / no scanner

Hi
I am having problems with my scanner. It is a Leoplus P6 v4.03 scanner. My computer is a Pentium II 333MHz with Windows 98 SE installed.

Whenever I goto use my scanner I get the message:
Error Code=2
LM9811 R/W check failed/no scanner

The install driver is the LeoP6.exe which I got on a CD with the scanner when I bought it.

The scanner is connected directly to my computer via the on-board parallel port (LPT1) and then my printer is connected through the parallel port on the scanner. My printer works perfectly, no problems.

Could anyone please shed some light on this problem?
