I'm having a similar problem and wrote to Envision directly. If I use a TImage->TPicture->LoadFromFile(), I can see my images (fingerprints) but they're all skewed).

If I just use

myTifIn = new TTiffGraphic;
try
myTifIn->LoadFromFile("file");
catch(...)
indicate exception

delete myTifIn;

The exception is being caught, but not before the attempt to read the corrupt file blows my program away.

If I hear anything from Envision, I'll post it here.
