Hi Michel,

I can't find any settings that would make the twain driver think it has to return the image twice, but in doing some testing I found this:

When scanning from Word 2003 (insert picture), the WIA driver performs as expected (same as for your software), but the twain driver exhibits exactly the same problem I have described. i.e. The scanner does 2 passes and the image appears twice in Word.

This is a beautiful thing, because it means it is HP's problem, and we can demonstrate this for any of our customers that have the problem.
