Hi Joerg,

Thanks for your kind words.

I have successfully integrated Envision with Tiger OCR, www.ocr.com, but it is part of a commercial project I'm working on. This OCR engine is very fast, relatively accurate, but the support is very slow and not much use. It is DLL based (not ActiveX), and may be loaded/unloaded dynamically. If you are interested, you may have a look at their web site and demo OCR program, and I can help you integrate it with Envision.

I am considering to provide a link to one or more OCR engines for version 2. I'm still not sure which one. Tiger is interesting, but as I said the support is bad. Other engines I have looked at are FineReader, TextBridge, Wocar, but there are always major trade offs between price/quality/speed.

Best regards,

Michel
