The quality should be fine. What video mode and what type of image (palette, b/w, true color) and you using?

There is also a post on,

which may help.

I'm also working on a better rubber banding class which will offer more control over the area that is selected. It is not yet finished, but if you are interested, email me directly and I will send it to you.
