Hi Juan,

ImageLib is a larger image library than Envision. It certainly has more features, but obviously much more expensive, although not as expensive (but not a feature rich) and other large image libraries like LeadTools and Accusoft.

Before actually starting to create the Envision Library I evaluated ImageLib, as I needed an image library in a relatively large project. The two main aspects which prompted me to create a library was the fact that ImageLib relies on DLL's which are allways more complicated to distributed and subject to version conflicts, and because the source code for the DLL's was not included. Also I had experienced occasional access violations in the DLL. Without source code, a developer becomes at the mercy of the third party provider.

Some users have swithed from ImageLib to Envision for these reasons, but this really depends on your needs.

Best regards,

Michel
