Hi,

I have not yet done any work on the annotations. I have completed the work on tiff tags which will be used for future annotation support, but this will only be available in version 2.

Annotations are usually stored in custom TIFF tags, so files with annotations can still be loaded, except that the annotations themselves won't be read.
