Subject: Envision beta 1.05 (and rubberbanding mouse handler)

Hi All,

I am making available the latest beta of version 1.05. This includes the rubberband mouse handler. The new demo program included shows how to use the mouse handler. The TRubberbandMouseHandler is also a good example on how to create more complex mouse handlers. The is also a precompiled demo application in the Download section, http://www.intervalsoftware.com/download.html, of the web site.

Version 1.05 will most likely be the latest 1.X release. If there are any minor enhancements you would like to see in version 1.X please let me know. Major enhancements will be for version 2. Your suggestions are welcomed.

Download from,

http://www.intervalsoftware.com/files/envisionbeta105.zip

The file must be unzipped, then the file Beta105.pak must unpacked with the EnUnPack.Exe program available in the directory where Envision was installed. You will need your user name and password. Also included in the package are precompiled packages for CB3, CB4, CB5, Delphi3, Delphi4, and Delphi5.

Here are the changes added to 1.05 so far:

Add ProductName property in TScanner

Added TransparentColor, SaveTransparent, SaveWithBackground in TPngGraphic.

Renamed TPngGraphic.Background to BackgroundColor
BackgroundColor property in TPngGraphic is also used when saving.

Add zmFitToPage zoom mode.

Add BackgroundColor to TRotateTransform.

The Blue and Red fields in the TRgb record have been swapped positions in the physical record to match the Windows.TRgbQuad record. Using the Rgb property of the TDibGraphic explicitely, reversed the Blue and Red
channels.

The Blue and Red color entries where inverted when using
TDibGraphic.AssignFromBitmapHandle with palette images.

When changing the format to 16 or 256 colors during a resize
the palette was not set properly.

Make TDibGraphic.RgbToPaletteConverter available as a property.

Fix copying from the clipboard an image to a TDibGraphic object when working in a 256 color video mode.

Add msgGrayScaleTransparentPngNotSupported,
msgRegionNotSelected
msgRubberbandHandlerNotActive

Fixed TResizeTransform with was creating a "washed out" effect when resizing palettized images on NT.

Add EnRubber and TRubberBandMouseHandler.
Add mmSelect mouse mode with TImageScrollBox.

Add TMouseHandler.BeforeResize

Add EnMisc.SwapIntegers

Add RowsPerStrip a property in TTiffGraphic

Add Rect parameter to OnQuickSelect handler

Fix TConvolutionTransform which was ignoring corner pixels.

TConstrastTransform and TBrightnessTransform override Apply method to conserve resources.

Best regards,

Michel
