Hi Azurea,

From your description it looks like you want to do this without any user intervention. This can be done in a few steps.

- Load the original image in the appropriate TDibGraphic class, ie, TBitmapGraphic for bmp files.

- Use the TCropTransform to extract the rectangle you need

- Create a TTgaGraphic of the correct output size. Fill it black using TgaGraphic.Fill

- Use TgaGraphic.Draw( X, Y, bmpGraphic ) to draw the selection.

- Finally, TgaGraphic.SaveToFile.

I also received your email. I also had another request this week to "preset" the rubberband selection. I will look at this on the weekend and have some news early next week.
