Subject: Help me out with this

I'm having some problems when I a scanning in gray , the page size is about 340k so it is to big, how can I get it smaller?
I am scannig in the smalles quality so you can image what happend when i do it in one better the size gets even 3mg.

If somebody knows wath to do ,please letme know. Thanks
