Hi Niels,

The architecture of Envision and the VCL is quite similar; both are based on TGraphic derived classes, so an entire image needs to be loaded on memory.

So I don't think Envision will perform better than TJpegImage for those large images. What I found is more that running on Windows 2000 or XP will handle those images better.

You may want to try the Envision demo in your environment and see how they load.
