Subject: How to set the Selection Rectangle in code

How do I set the Selection Rectangle in my code instead of using the mouse?

And maybe there is a nicer solution to my problem: I want to copy an image onto another image. I have both images on the disk and loads both of them into memory. Then I'd like to put the image onto the other (larger) one and then save it all to one beautiful image.
