Hi Lon,

The thumbnail creation keeps the aspect ratio of the images, otherwise they could get badly distorted. What you can do, is change the backround color before generated the thumbs. For example is the thumbs are to be displayed on a white web page, set the background to white.

See the BackgroundColor property of the TThumbnailCreator class.

For jpeg images, you cannot change the defaut compression. If this is a big issue for you, let me know I can add a new property to allow that for JPG thumbs.
