Subject: Saving a Tiff image in a BDE Blob field

Well, I am sure that this has been asked before. I looked and didn't find my answer. So hopefully this will be a simple question for someone to answer. :)

I am scanning, nothing complex, black/white 200dpi. I get the image everything is fine, I display, etc. I wish to save the image to my Interbase DB. When I have the image in a Bitmap, it saves just fine. Problem is, it is 1/2 meg in size and I feel that is too much for a simple page scan (also makes loading and saving slow ). So, seemed logical that TIFF would suit my needs. But, now when I go to save the image I get an error similar to not a valid bitmap image (since it is a TIF).
I can leave code snipit if needed.

Also, I do not want to save to a file. I believe I can use memory (MemoryStream?) just as easy and no need to have file when I am saving to DB. :)

Thanks,
David Barnes
