Hi Jennifer,

Support for the original TIF/JPEG will not be added. TIFF is probably the most complex bitmap format, so this is why most programs use a "reference" library like libtiff.

With a bit of work, it should be possible to read the tag.
See the EnTifGr.Pas unit, you will need a call like,

TiffHandle := TIFFOpen(Stream, omRead);

TIFFGetField(TiffHandle, TIFFTAG_COMPRESSION, CompressTag)
