Hi David,

To set the compression in code see the example in DemoForm.Pas, in the ImageScrollBoxBeforeSave event.

For best compression a rule of thumb is,

Black and white, group iv
True color, JPEG (within tiff)
Palette, deflate (not standard), otherwise packbits is more standard but not as good
