Hmm, the Scanjet 4C was quite expensive, but is very old too, it would be quite impossible to buy one i guess..

As i said, the problem is not the hardware, i think its the way Windows Me deals with it with its Scanner Wizard. But its quite a problem since there will probably be a lot of users using the Windows Me driver.

I tried installing DeskscanII and have no problem settings any caps (except the silly ShowUI, and thats why i dont want to use deskscan). With the Windows Medriver, i can Hide the UI but i cant modify the image format or dpi..
