Subject: Printing at 600 dpi produces small images

We can print an image at 300 dpi and it is the correct size and proportion on the printer (HP 822C). If we change the settings from normal to best, then the dpi becomes 600 and the image printed is about half the size that it should be.
This is under the Windows 2000 operating system.

Any ideas?
