Subject: UpCasting for Transformations

Hi,

I have been reading in different types of graphic files and then converting them to jpegs. I have code that looks at the number of colors in the input file and then does a color transformation if needed for converting to a jpeg. My buddy wants me to read files in using the borland TGraphic if Envision cannot read the file. The envision Transform blows up when I upcast the apply (Apply((TDibGraphic*)TGraphic).
I did not think this was a cool thing to do. What do you say Michael?
