Subject: Loading group4 tiff image slow??

Hi all,

I used the Envision library for previewing images before I plot them with my program.
The problem is that if I try to load a file of about 700 kb (which may be large, but I really must have the ability to load it) Envision is very slow. It takes about a minute or so to load it on my P166 (with 64 megs of ram).
Is there a possibility to load it quicker? Or if not with Envision, do you know of a library which does load it quicker?
