Subject: that's fine Opti, I still think he would be the better choice for the (extensive) reasons I have given.

I will wait and see, and if Cox is named, I hope he plays well.

But I worry that the way the Cats set up in defence and the way they like to score might hurt us with him in the side.

In particular, as I have pointed out, Cats play 3 very tall key defenders in DeKoning, Blicsavs and SUllivan, so it's harder for Cox to use his height to advantage like he can on smaller backlines.

And all 3 of those names can move pretty quick for bigs, this may expose Cox when they bounce out.

One potential advantage would be to ruck Cox more and have him forward less, to press the advantage in the centre, and allow Cameron to drift back more defensively, BUT

Geelong currently like to use slingshot to try and get Danger, Cameron and Stengle out the back, which may make Cameron's go to defensive positioning less effective.

I am pretty sure that the consensus is right and Cox will be named, as my feeling is that Fly likes to have a stable senior side and give the senior bodies first crack, I'm just worried that the end may be coming for Cox and he may be exposed in ways I believe Steene wouldn't.

Time will tell.
