Darcy is a teriffic Captain at the height of his career ,Early career he faced and overcame worrying hamstring challenges

Today ~He leads the most frugal defence in the comp and does so in concert with two absolute champs in Howe and Maynard . We need to gradually and sensibly blood replacements thee for the loner term

Nick D is a shining bright star in the MF and is blessed to have two all time Pie champs nearby - I Pendles and 2 Sidey
The much vaunted next big MF thing - JDG -seems forever battling injuries of one type or another .
Again we need to prepare others for departures .
Eventually and initially those retirements will impose greater responsibilities on those who remain

The forward line is similar
Checkers is constantly sore and clearly restricted , McStay seems injury prone and we need to ensure that West is looked at while Cox comes back automatically as back up Ruck , because , as promising he can be at times , Membery also has been physically battered. You can see it in how he moves .. Who really knows which of these battered soldiers will consistently perform .
Last weekend the 3 Ms played …Checkers was trounced, McStay poor until injured and Membrey scored 2 but battled in general play . Much was left to the little blokes . So there may be new stock used soon .
We must give Jamie Elliot ..Sgt Shultz…Bobby Hill supportive tall / physically competitive players nearby up forward

We are gradually coming to a “Railway line siding “ moment where perhaps new carriages replace existing ones and maybe new engines are substituted for older ones ….but we aren’t there yet and there is no urgency at all to change leaders
