Go through the list of every player ever drafted at pick 28, rank them best to worst, then slot Hampson in where you think he should be ranked.

That will tell you if it was a good trade purely in terms of pick value.

Factor in Richmond's needs and Carlton's shit recruiting team and it may weight the trade more in Richmond's favour.

I'm sure there have been plenty more nobodies than stars drafted at pick 28.
