Can't imagine why Carlton would want to improve their list with a decent middle age player who they get basically for free. must be because they are deluded. Really? deluded? If his ankle is ok it's a good move gee wiz how often do you get to bring in a proven high quality big game player when your 1st pick in the draft is 12 - which Carlton didn't give up to get him.

If his ankle is buggered then it is space in the salary cap for a few years. Judd has taken a big pay cut, Betts is gone, haven't got too many others that you'd think are on big bucks, Murphy maybe? I think they are just trying to improve their list just like what everyone else is doing. Have made steps to improve the recruiting team. god knows they needed to do that! Who knows time may tell us it was a bad move, might tell us it was a good move, who the hell knows unless you give something a try. Nobody can say he's not a gun when he's on his game.

Who knows which of the kids will step up next year. Hawks Pies and Swans have all won flags with recycled players playing vital roles. Design yourself a well balanced list management policy and it will always feature bringing in recycled players as well as drafting kids.

Freo nailed a draft a few years ago and got themselves a good coach, went to next level. Who the hell knows when your club will nail a draft!

I'm not even going to bag the hampson trade. He is a friggen freak athlete and was making some improvement the last couple of years. He may improve a heap who knows, you have the need go for it, Carlton may draft Luke livingstone with pick 4 so who knows who will win that. Oops it's pick 28 well there you go, tigers could win that one comfortably. Can't be too sure unfortunately my crystal ball isn't working right now. Maybe yours is.
