Bring back the old knock-out NAB Cup. Let them play for something.
Start it a couple of weeks earlier and then have a two week break before round one. Who gives a shit if 8 teams don't care about winning it? Send the Swans to the bush if they can't be arsed enough to win round one of the knock-out.
This practice match stuff is like dancing with your sister.
