He may well be right, but it certainly appears that they didn't hold that view when they were injecting it in 2012, otherwise why the hell were they giving it to the players? Dean Rioli hadn't returned to the club, had he?

Evans really should just say nothing anymore because he is not helping the Essendon cause at all, quite the opposite actually.

Can I also go on the record as saying I feel very sorry for the players. I have little doubt they just took whatever the club medicos told them to take without question, as it has been done for years, in fact, as instructed by the AFL themselves on countless occasions "Don't take any supplement without getting the OK from the club doctor".

That said, if proven the walls will have to come crashing down on the EFC, including loss of points etc., although I would not be overly concerned if the players themselves escaped long term sanctions.
