Robbo seems to be trying to see which way the wind is blowing at any given moment and then rant in that particular direction. It is probably the best way to handle it if you are not in a position to keep your mouth shut. Which I don't think Robbo is given his brand is to rant in some particular direction and not keep his mouth shut.
Rohan Connolly is worse. He is desperately trying to maintain his position as chief apologist for the EFC, and also offer some kind of counterpoint to Carro. Usually when Connolly tries to outmanoeuvre Carro, it ends badly for him.
