Truth is I've changed my mind on this one several times already.
I've bounced from initial outrage, to 'gee, ape's hardly something to be worked up about', to being sympathetic with Goodes' situation if that was indeed a slur he copped at school.
Personally, I got called a lot worse, so I don't know. It does seem awfully thin-skinned but then I'm not in his shoes. He looked legitimately distressed by it.
As for the drugs issue, I agree entirely. Young blokes should be allowed one stuff-up. If you are stupid enough to do it again, then out them, to make the point to young people that only stupid people use illicit drugs.

PS: I am deeply offended you called me a lemming. I would prefer you called me Arctic Vole.
