I oppose giving ANY government money to private schools. It would be one of the first items of government waste I'd get rid of if I had my way. Right after getting rid of subsidies for university cloggers studying useless crap like humanities and liberal arts.
Of course both Labor and Liberal support government funding of private schools because your quintessential Labor voter is now an inner-suburban hipster who wants to send his/her spoilt brat, no discipline kids to a private school anyway. So what's your point? On this matter it made absolutely no difference if "Mad Monk" or "Ju-liar" got in.
