Subject: *Aria enters, leading her pups*

It's time to learn to take care of yourselves, little ones. Deer are our main food source. Let's find you a plump yearling or doe to eat. *She sniffs the air, searching for deer musk. She separates the smell of a buck, a doe with two fawns,

though the scent is old, and a herd of five hinds and a buck who passed through. She steps forward, following their scent paths with their delicate nose. Two were carrying the fawns of the buck, and the other three carried no special scent, but one.

The scent of this last hind was strong, and her footprints were deep gouges in the ground, as if she had to step hard to keep from losing her balance. Her path was wavering and the scent was sickly. Perfect.

She cries a hunting howl, teaching it to her pups and letting them howl with her, before setting off on the trail. She will find the hind, and they will make the kill.
