what's wrong with making sure that you're not having to live off of food stamps? i mean, dpajo had to at one point when the only money he was getting was from royalty checks from spiderland. and i guess i seem to be the only one here that seems to remember that the smashing pumpkins were once 'indie' too. caroline records? gish? it just so happens that while playing some of the best indie ROCK out there on that release, that they (sp) turned a few heads. so they made some money. there's something wrong with that? and while i remember that, in high school we all chose to identify ourselves based on the indie scene that noone else in school understood - and that we were so proud of that (i still am), i have since grown up to the real world: that a musical style is only a musical style. that good music is good music. that all that faux indie-elitist crap was a waste of time.
