Hi everyone. I just would like to share my opinion about this whole zwan thing.
1. I'm a Smashing Pumpkins fan since 7 years. I own tons of bootlegs, i've been to numerous shows etc. To all of you who don't have any knowledge about the band and think they are sell outs: Why the fuck did they release Adore, a groundbraking album, completly different from their previous work instead making music exactly like Mellon Colie or Siamese Dream and selling millions of albums? Why the fuck did they release a double album, which is a very ambicious work, instead of going with a single album full of "radio hits"??
To all who think Corgan or Chamberlin have no talent : HAHA, i laugh at you. Go listen to the guitar solos of Soma, Starla, Bury Me, Aeroplane Flies High, Geek USA. Go listen to awesome druming tracks like Everlasting Gaze, Geek USA, Cash Car Star, I Am one, Siva, Bury Me, Silverfuck. Jimmy is the one of(if not THE) best rock drummer of the 90's. And to finish your pumpkin experience, just think about Billy's ability to write song.
2.Enough of the Pumpkins, let's talk about Zwan. The first news concerning Zwan were that it was a band with Corgan, Chamberlin, Sweeny and Skullfisher. When we learned who skullfisher really was, everyone in the SP community went nuts. Some of us already knew that David Pajo was a monstrous talented artist but some of us, just like me, didn't know who he was. So i got to listen to slint, Tortoise, arial m, papa m, and all i can say is wow. i fell in love with David Pajo. Now after listening to Zwan bootlegs, i can say he's defenatly one of my favorite artist in the music world. Zwan will help David to make new fans of him, isn't good enough for you? it will help to get is talent recognized by the world.
3. Conclusion: David will get thet popularity he deserves in Zwan. I can't fucking see what's the fucking problem some of you have with popularity. If you are a really talented artist and you make good songs, tell me what's the fucking problem with making money and being popular!??. I think it's better hearing zwan on the radio instead of Britney, Shakira, Blink 182, Limp Bizkit or Jennifer Lopez.
I just say go zwan, go david, let's go kick some butt!
ps. as some of you think, i too would like to see David have a huge participation in zwan, i hope he will not only follow Billy's idea.
