i saw the papa at radio radio in indianapolis. i had to sit through two bad local bands. then mr. pajo came on stage played the four good songs off the new album and then two that i hadn't heard before. he played with a guitar and some sort of synth with a looping program. the songs were very well performed, but i was truly unhappy with the length of the show. i drove 1 1/2 hours to see him and he played the show and kept building up then left him high and dry with the indie rock equivlant of blueballs. then i looked at the pictures file on the papa website and saw him singing with some other girl on stage in new york and scotland, is the midwest unimportant? does dave pajo put on a bad show? no that downloadable one on the website blew me away. i guess he just wasn't feeling it. i truly hope this isn't how he plays shows all the time.
