that's just the media feeling the need to be witty.
like "wow, billy corgan playing with yet another asian-american".
if the other guitarist was a girl she'd be compared to d'arcy, even if it were to be someone like liz phair or julie doiron.
the mtv people span their ignorance and there is not much we can do.
