Wills, to see you typing this sort of rubbish is a little disappointing.
Not only Manly are the scum of the earth, but the performance of a referee is also something to hold against Manly? If that were the case every Parra fan would be justifiably ropeable at Canterbury given their free ride in the semis a few seasons back - Parra fans still talk about how the Dogs 'cheated' to win. I have always said that you have to take what comes from the referees, but no, obviously the Dogs must've colluded with the referee, given your allegations towards Manly?
We were very successful in the 70s and 80s. We played like thugs against Wests, just like they did. We played tough against Cronulla in the 1973 GF, and the tactics were successful.
Fulton was shown the door, or should I say, given the opportunity to expand his horizons, but he returned to the club as a master coach, so obviously he wasn't all that hard done by or he would never have returned to the fold.
To say the 1976 premiership was the result of us buying one player is totally ridiculous. Loewe was a good player, but so were Randall, Thompson, etc etc etc, the names were ALL great back then.
Your credibility is taking a hammering here old son.
You may dislike Manly, and I have no problem with that. But why twist the truth to make it add to your baseless agrguements? Manly were NOT the only club buying players to try and win premierships, we were just more successful than anyone else at it.
