Subject: All My Boardies, Episode 2x13: "Closing Time" *SEASON FINALE*

Special Guest Star gretch. Guest Starring Gemma, Phaedra, Jaymzangel, Esmerelda, Veggieburger, Ginger Pig, Willows Familiar, Peter Wiggin, and Toothy.

We open where we left off - Stormy being confronted by ABM, AngelX, and Dandy. AngelX walks up to her, and asks her how long. Stormy smirks, and asks her how long they've known each other. AngelX looks shocked, and asks if she's really been working for Toothy that long. She shrugs, and says that it was even longer, really - ever since she was a teenager. Dandy comes up to her, and asks if she's so good, that she's managed to stay undercover for years, then how come she managed to figure her out on one slip-up. Stormy says that it might have been one slip-up - but look what she's accomplished in the meantime. She turns back to AngelX, and says that all this time, they really thought Toothy was acting alone - is she that dumb? How did she think Toothy got keys to her office, to her locked cabinets - to Dandy's locked drawers, for that matter. How do they think Toothy knew what was going on, all the time? She laughs, and tells them that they all really should've known better - especially Dandy. Suddenly, she pulls a gun, and grabs AngelX. She holds the gun to her head, and says that now they've done the exposition, this is usually the part where the bad guy escapes with a hostage. So now she'll be leaving, and she hates to be cliched, but if they try to follow her, she'll shoot AngelX. ABM and Dandy watch helplessly as Stormy walks out of the apartment with AngelX.

Down in the car park, Stormy walks towards her car, still holding the gun at AngelX's head. She stops at the car, and opens the door. She looks up at AngelX, and says that she's sorry it had to happen like this. She begins to get melancholy, saying that over the years, she's really grown to think of AngelX as a good friend, and she's really sorry that things had to go this way. AngelX looks on, stone faced, and after a moment, Stormy cracks up, saying how damn good her acting is - no wonder they didn't suspect her. She gets in the car, and says that she doesn't think she'll be needing the hostage anymore. Before AngelX can do anything, Stormy drives off, fast. AngelX watches her leave, a contemplative look on her face.

Over at the restaurant, Gemma and LB are putting up decorations as Salty is on the phone to someone. Salty hangs up the phone after a minute, and comes over to the others. She says that that was ABM on the phone. Gemma asks what he wanted, and Salty informs them of Stormy's betrayal. LB and Gemma both look appropriately shocked. They ask what the hell happened, and Salty says that she's not sure on the details, but it seems Stormy's been working for Toothy all this time. They take this information in, and say that they would never have suspected Stormy as being a double agent. Salty shrugs, and says that they're the best kind - the ones you'd never suspect. Gemma nods, and says that she's probably right. LB puts down the decorations for a moment, and hugs Salty. She points out that they haven't spent much time together recently, what with all the drama going on. Salty agrees, saying that once this party is over, they should take off for a while, maybe for a different Board. From the front door, a voice says that there's a helicopter going spare if they want to use it. They look over, and see gretch, Es, and Willows Familiar standing there. They all rush to greet them, surprised to see them back. They say that they got their postcard, and that they were all really surprised to hear from them. LB asks where they got the helicopter from, and Es says that they "acquired" it. Salty raises an eyebrow, and they all laugh. Gemma looks over at Willows Familiar, and asks who this is. Es says that its Willows Familiar, and LB looks surprised. She says that the last time anyone checked, Willows Familiar was a woman. And, you know, dead. Gretch and Willows Familiar look at each other, and say that it's a long story. Es points out that its heavy on the long. Gemma says that they came back at just the right time - she's throwing a party. Now they have a real reason to celebrate.

The next morning, ABM is in the FBI office, talking to Amber. They sit at an interview table, as he fills her in on the events of last night. Amber is shocked, and asks if anybody got hurt. ABM says that apart from three very ashamed share-holders, nothing dangerous occured. They fall into silence, and ABM takes Amber's hands. He says that he'll get her out of this mess, he promised he'd take care of it and he's not going to stop now. Amber begins to cry, and he comforts her, telling her not to worry. She'll get through this, he promises. Just then, there's a knock on the door, and Agent Wiggin comes in. He apologises, and says that their time's up. ABM stands, and exhales. He again promises Amber that he'll sort this out, and that he'll come by tomorrow. He walks out, and Wiggin holds out a pair of handcuffs. Amber reluctantly puts her hands in them, and he guides her down a hallway. He gets a to a jailed-off part of the facility, and he swipes his card. He opens the gate, and as Amber walks through it, he says that he really doesn't want to be doing this. He's known her a while, and he hates to be the one in charge of this investigation. Amber asks why he doesn't just transfer it to another Agent, and Wiggin pauses. He says that nobody else would give Amber a fair trial - she'd be crucified. Amber gulps, as he leads her into a cell. He takes off the handcuffs, and leaves her in her cell. He looks at her, offers a weak "sorry", then walks away. Amber solemnly sits down on her bunk. Across the corridor, a voice asks her if she really killed two people. Amber looks over, and sees Toothy in the cell across from hers. He asks her again, with a glint in his eye, if she could really be capable of killing. Amber stares at him, and says that if the circumstances were right, then she'd be capable of anything. Toothy nods knowingly, then sits back down.

Back out in the main office, ABM is signing some forms at the front desk. He's talking to SeaBoy, who tells him that he's here to see Agent Wiggin. ABM asks what he's here about, and as he hands the forms back over to the desk clerk, SeaBoy says that he discovered TomSmeagol had somehow escaped from the psycho unit he was being held at. ABM freezes, and slowly asks when that bastard escaped. SeaBoy asks why ABM's having such an extreme reaction, then he pauses - he mentions {mikeyg}'s name. ABM winces at the sound. SeaBoy apologises, and says that he should've thought, maybe Tom's name isn't the best one to mention around ABM. He looks back at SeaBoy, and says that he has to go, a tear in his eye. He half-runs out, as SeaBoy watches him leave. Just then, Agent Wiggin comes up behind him, and asks SeaBoy what he can do for him. SeaBoy asks what they're doing to round up TomSmeagol. Agent Wiggin looks perplexed, and asks how SeaBoy knew about that. He replies that he has some friends in high places. He offers his help for the search. Agent Wiggin says that they can't take on civilians in such a dangerous mission. SeaBoy leans in closer, and says that Tom ruined his life, and countless others - he took away people that mattered, people who were loved. If he can do anything to find that sonofabitch, then he wants to do it. Wiggin looks around covertly, then writes something down on the back of a business card. He tells SeaBoy that the FBI isn't officially pursuing this case anymore - it's a State Police one now. But if he goes to this address, he might find something - that's the last place they looked for TomSmeagol. SeaBoy takes the card, and thanks Wiggin, before he leaves.

Over in the office complex, AngelX, Phaedra and Dandy are in AngelX's office. Dandy is standing up on a chair, fiddling with one of the roofing tiles. AngelX asks if she's sure that it's up there, and Dandy says that there has to be. It's standard procedure to put bugs in action on whatever undercover mission you're working on. Eventually, she dislodges the tile, and produces a small chip taped on the back of it. She hands it down to Phaedra, who says that it's a very advanced piece of technology. AngelX asks if she can take a look at it, see what it does - and see how much Stormy managed to find out. Phaedra leaves the office, saying that she'll do what she can. Dandy gets down off the chair, and clambers under her desk. AngelX asks what she's doing now, and Dandy pops her head out, saying that she's looking for the tap on the phone wire. AngelX nods, and takes a seat. After a few moments of silence, she tells Dandy that she might have been wrong about her. Dandy, under the desk, asks what she means by that, and AngelX says that despite everything thats happened, maybe she isn't so bad after all. Dandy pops her head out again, and asks if she really means that. AngelX says that she can't believe she's about to say this, but yeh, she does. Dandy smiles happily, and says that the thought's appreciated. Just then, she lets out an "a-ha!", and produces a microchip connected to a box-clip. She puts it on the desk, saying that there's bound to be more around this office. AngelX sighs, saying that it could take them forever to find them all. Dandy picks up the chip, and says that she'll take it to Phaedra - see if they can't figure out a way to rejig a metal-detector, or something, to pick up traces of the electrical equipment in the bugs. Dandy walks out, as AngelX looks over to a photo of her, Stormy, and Shrub on the desk.

At the hospital, Jaymzangel is looking over Morgain. She's shivering in her bed, her face pale, her lips chapped. Jay listens to her heart, and is worried by what she hears. She writes some stuff down on the chart, and then increases the dose of morphine in the drip beside the bed. Walking off, she goes to the front desk, and sees Veggie standing there. She asks Veggie if they can talk for a moment, and they go off into the staff lounge. Inside, Jay asks if Veggie's seen Morgain yet. She nods, saying that she didn't look too well. Jay nods, and says that she's very worried about her. She shows Veggie her chart, who notes that the heartbeat and breath sounds are erratic. Jay says that thats at best. Veggie puts down the chart, and asks if Morgain's exposure to the heroin wasn't worse than they originally thought. Jay says that was her original thinking, but when she got the Tox-screen back, there was only a sample trace of heroin in her bloodstream. Nothing that could do this kind of damage. Veggie looks puzzled, then asks Jay if Morgain has a prior history of drug abuse. Jay says that when she was brought in, she asked Amber, but she wasn't sure. Veggie says that maybe thats what's causing this - a dramatic "cold turkey". She says that things are going to get a lot worse for Morgain, if Jay doesn't do something for her soon. Veggie writes a number down on a piece of paper, and hands it to Jay. She says that this is the number for her friend Rohan over at The Gen Board Rehab Clinic. She tells Jay to give him a call. Veggie leaves, as Jay contemplates, looking at the phone number.

At his apartment, ABM is on the phone to Dandy. She tells him about the bugs, and that she and Phaedra are working on a tracer for them, so that they can locate the rest of them. ABM asks how long she's going to be, and she says that she doesn't know. He asks her if she's still going to come to the big party tonight, at Gemma's, and she says that she probably will, but not until late. ABM asks if he should meet her there, and Dandy replies that would probably be best. He mentions that he left one of his shirts round her place, and he was going to wear it tonight, and Dandy says that he can pop round later. If she isn't in, he's got a key anyway. ABM says that he will, and Dandy says that she loves him. After a moment's pause, ABM repeats it, and they hang up. As soon as he does so, a voice behind him says that it breaks her heart. He whirls round, to see Stormy standing there. He rushes her, slamming her against the wall, asking her what she's doing here. Stormy smiles kinkily, and says that she always thought ABM liked it rough. ABM lets her go, still mad, and asks why she's here - and how she got in, besides that. Stormy says that she just wanted to say hi, you know, the genial thing. He says that she's not welcome here anymore, and that she should just run back to her "master" - but, oh no, wait, Toothy's been arrested. Stormy pouts, and ABM says that she might be out of a job before long if he stays incarcerated. He smiles, and says that she may wish she hadn't have been caught out if she gets "let go" by the Directors. Stormy smirks back, saying that she doubts she'll ever be discharged from the service of the Directors - seeing as it's her uncle running the show. ABM remarks that its a "family business" then. They fall silent, and Stormy breaks it after a few moments by saying that she wasn't lying. ABM asks her what she means, and Stormy says the stuff about Dandy. She might have lied about a lot of thinks - ABM interrupts her, asking sarcastically if thats so - but Stormy continues, saying that what she said about Dandy wasn't one of them. A lie. ABM looks unsettled, and musters up the courage to ask her why he should trust her. Stormy says that he doesn't really have any reason to, but she just thought he should know. She turns to leave, telling him not to bother following her. ABM watches her leave, a puzzled look on his face.

Back at the hospital, Jay sits by Morgain's bedside. She's talking to her, saying that somebody from the clinic is going to come by later, to take her with them. She's going to wait with her until then, and that the people at this place are going to help her much more than the hospital can. Morgain nods, while still shivering. There's huge bags under her eyes, and her voice is raspy. She asks Jay how long she's going to be there, and Jay says that it all depends on her. Morgain nods again, and we cut to a long view of Jay and Morgain, from Veggie's point of view, at the main desk. SeaBoy comes in, and asks Veggie if he can ask her a favour. She obliges, and he wonders if he could take Wolf - uh, Shrub - to the party this evening. Veggie smiles, saying she was going to suggest it anyway. She needs the exercise, after all her body has been lying in a bed for the past few months. Plus, the social interact-yness of it all would help get her back into the swing of things. She warns SeaBoy, though, that they'll have to take it easy. No big boozing, or anything. SeaBoy smiles, and says that he'll take good care of her. She asks if he wants to see her now, and he declines, nervously saying that he's got somewhere to be, unfortunately.

Later on, SeaBoy is walking up to an abandoned building. Numerous windows are boarded up, and the bottom of the walls have damp. He nervously walks in through the front door. There's police tape everywhere, cordoning off various rooms. As he slowly walks through the house, it gets darker and darker - there's barely any light coming into the house, what with all the windows being boarded up. He switches on his flashlight, and heads on up the stairs. When he gets to the first floor, he looks around some more, noticing that there isn't as much police ribbon as there was downstairs. As he walks into a room at the end of the corridor, he bumps into something, falling over, dropping his torch. He gets up, cursing himself, and dusting himself. He reaches down to pick up the torch, and notices something in the beam of light - there's a crack in the wood panelling running along the bottom of the wall. He shines the lightbeam up the wall, and sees the thin crack runs all the way up the wall, to the ceiling. He pushes on it, and it falls in slightly, before swinging open. SeaBoy looks shocked, but walks through the door nonetheless. Inside the room, are a number of beds, with bodies on them. Gulping madly, SeaBoy approaches one of the beds, and looks away, as he shines the torch-light over the head. Eventually, he looks over, and is so shocked that he drops the torch light again. Slowly reaching down, he picks it up, never looking away from the body's head. When he finally shines the light back on the body, we see what we saw - it's him. Or rather, his face on the body. He shines the light on the body next to it, and it's him again. He continues to do this, with the same result - each body in here is him. SeaBoy looks confused, and stunned.

At Dandy's apartment, ABM knocks on the door. There's no answer, so he gets out his key and opens the door. Inside, there isn't anybody around. ABM walks in, and heads straight for the bedroom. While he's in there, the phone rings. It goes instantly to the answering machine, and we hear Dandy leaving a message. She says that if he's there, not to worry about waiting for her - she, Phaedra and AngelX will be heading down to Gemma's later, once they've gotten rid of all Stormy's bugs from the offices. She hangs up, and ABM smiles. He pulls out his shirt from the wardrobe, and walks out of the room. He's about to leave the apartment, when he stops. He looks around, thinking. He mutters to himself that it "can't hurt", then goes back into Dandy's bedroom. He begins to look around, first innocently looking through the contents of her bedside table. He looks around, and then goes back into the wardrobe, digging through the pile of empty shoe-boxes and Gucci bags at the bottom. Not finding anything, he sits down, saying that this is stupid, Dandy hasn't done anything. He plays with the sheeting that comes off Dandy's bed, right to the floor, flicking it up and down in his hand while he looks around. Suddenly, he notices something under the bed. Quizzically, he pulls it out - its the large suitcase, which we know contains the sniper rifle. He opens it up, and is shocked to see the sniper rifle inside.

Over at Gemma's restaurant, people have started to pile in. At the bar, Gemma and LB are serving people, with Oracle trying it on with Willows Familiar. He's being gracious, and talking, not realising he's being come onto. Salty rolls her eyes, and starts talking to Es about her trip. Es mentions that they went to Tokyo, and Salty exclaims that she's been there, although it was a while ago. They begin to compare notes on the city, as we zoom over to Veggie and gretch in one corner, Veggie filling gretch in on everything that's happened while they've been gone.

At the hospital, SeaBoy comes into Wolfshrub's room. She's getting dressed, adding the finishing touches to her hair. She points out that it feels wierd to be doing this, seeing as from her perspective she's never had this much hair before. Laughing, she asks if he's ready to "take her out", and he nods, nervously. Wolfshrub notices something's wrong, and she asks him what the matter is. He sits down, and says he started looking for TomSmeagol. She stops fiddling with her hair, and turns to him, asking why he's so "off". He says that Agent Wiggin gave him an address, and he went there earlier. He stops, and Wolfshrub asks what he found there. He says that he found himself there, and she cracks a joke about him going on a spiritual journey, before she realises what he means. He says that there were literally eight or nine copies of himself - it seems that the original Other SeaBoy wasn't the only clone Tom made. Wolfshrub looks like she's about to be sick, and she says that was what she saw, what she dreamt. SeaBoy asks what she means, and Wolfshrub takes his hand, saying that while she was in the coma, that was part of the "life" she lead. She asks what this could mean, and SeaBoy says that he doesn't know - but it can't be good.

Short musical montage, set to Semisonic's "Closing Time": People at the restaurant, having a good time; Toothy in his jail cell, staring up at his ceiling, counting silently to himself; SeaBoy and Wolfshrub joining the party, with Wolfshrub mobbed by people who think that "Shrub's awake!"; ABM, sitting in Dandy's apartment, the sniper rifle laid out in front of him, dried tears on his face; Dandy, AngelX and Phaedra at the party, with Dandy looking around for ABM; Jay at the hospital, watching as Morgain is taken into an ambulance by two plain-clothed paramedics; Stormy walking down a dark road, smiling to herself.

In the FBI jail, Amber sits at the end of her bed, watching Toothy. Suddenly, the lights in the corridor go out, and Amber comes to stand at the front of her cell. She hears a very quiet "thud", and when the lights come back on, Stormy stands there, walking down to Toothy's cell. Nonchalantly, he gets up, as Stormy starts to work the lock on his cell. He tells her that she's late, and she replies that there was "an opportunity she couldn't pass up". She manages to open up the door to Toothy's cell, and Amber asks what she's doing. Stormy turns around abruptly, and apologises, saying she wasn't expecting company. Toothy looks at Amber, and tells Stormy not to worry, if Amber was going to do anything to stop them she'd have done it by now. He turns to Stormy and asks if the camera's have been taken care of, and she says that she hijacked their feed over an hour ago. They begin to walk down to the end of the corridor, where there's a gap in the ceiling, when Toothy stops. He turns back, and tells Stormy that they'll be taking one more with them. She asks what he means, and he walks back to Amber's cell. He looks her in the eye, and says that he could use someone like her. She stands back, as Stormy reluctantly opens her cell. Amber joins them in the corridor, and the three of them walk up the where Stormy came in. Stormy vaults up, and she extends her arm down for Toothy. He takes it, and goes up into the ceiling. She then puts her arm down for Amber, he looks back at her cell. After some goading from Stormy to hurry up, she takes the extended arm, and clambers up into the ceiling too.

Over at the party, LB asks Wolfshrub what it's like to be out of the coma, and to realise that life has gone on without her. Salty laughs, and apologises for LB's lack of tact. Wolfshrub happily nods, telling her not to worry about it. She says that its kinda normal, but not - like she missed a few episodes of her favourite soap, and now everything doesn't make sense, but she's slowly getting caught up. She laughs at herself, asking if that made any sense. Oracle nods that it did, and he says that he's missed her while she was in hospital. Sweetly, she nods, while looking over at SeaBoy, who's sullenly drinking his beer at the corner of the bar. At the entrance, ABM walks in, looking morose. Dandy comes over, and asks him why he's been so long. He says that he had some stuff to sort out, at the last minute. He asks if they can step outside for the moment, and Dandy looks slightly confused, but she does so anyway.

Outside, Dandy asks what this is all about, and ABM asks her why she lied. Dandy asks what he's talking about, and ABM suddenly shouts, telling her not to play games with him anymore. He asks her why she did it, why she shot Shrub. Dandy contines to act bemused, until ABM informs her that he found it - the sniper rifle. The one they found in the hotel room, after Joe Camel was shot. Dandy falls silent. He sarcastically asks her if she doesn't have a lie for that. She just looks up at him, with pleading eyes. He says that he can't believe he got played by her, for so long. All this time, she was mocking him. Dandy begins to talk, saying that it was never like that. ABM angrily asks her what it was like, if it wasn't a betrayal. Dandy meekly says that she was just doing what she thought was right, and ABM gets even angrier, asking her if she really thought it was right to shoot an innocent like Shrub. He begins to cry again, and calms down a bit. He asks how she managed to get it out of police custody, and she said that Toothy did. He has members of the force in his pocket. ABM says he doesn't believe any of this, and he begins to walk away. Dandy runs to stop him, and asks him to look at it from her point of view. He shrugs her off, and says that her point of view doesn't mean anything. She's a liar, a murderer, and worst of all - he fell for it. The whole act. He says that he can't believe he's been such a chump. He points into the bar, and says that AngelX was right about her all along - she's nothing but trouble.

In the restaurant, people are generally having a good time. Jaymzangel walks in, and walks up to the bar. She asks Gemma what's going on with ABM and Dandy outside, and Gemma looks over. She says that she doesn't know, and then asks Jay why she looks so sullen. Jay mentions that she sent Morgain off to rehab today. Gemma looks stunned, and says she didn't even realise Morgain had a problem, with anything. Jay says that its always the ones you don't suspect, as she perks up, saying that she needs a drink. Gemma offers her a free tequila, on the house. The camera pans out, and we see the whole scene of people having fun, laughing, enjoying themselves. It's a hell of a party.

Back outside, ABM stands with his back to Dandy. She stands there, her hands folded. She gently asks what's going to happen now. ABM wipes the tears way, and turns to face her. In a low, calm voice, he tells her to leave. Pack her things, and get out of The Boards before morning. He doesn't expect to see her at work the next day. Dandy pleads, asking if they can't work this out, and reaches for his hands. ABM pulls away, saying that there's nothing to work out. She needs to leave - if she isn't gone by morning, he'll call the police, tell them everything. She begins to cry, saying that this is never what she wanted, and ABM says that she should've thought of that before she shot Shrub and Joe. Just then, he pauses, and says that "it was her". Dandy looks confused, asking him what now. ABM says that it was her who reported Amber to the police. Dandy doesn't deny it. ABM says that after everything, she still went behind his back. He's about to turn away from her again, when suddenly there's a huge explosion in the restaurant. He and Dandy both duck, looking on in horror. There's more explosions, and the force of the blows send ABM and Dandy flying to the ground.

Across the way, at the top of the MNA Hotel, Toothy stands, looking down at the burning ruins of the restaurant. He smiles, and turns to Stormy and Amber behind him. He congratulates Stormy on a job well done, as they all walk off camera, back into the building.

Thanks for all your continued interest in these little vignettes, guys. Sadly, though, I need a break to recharge the creative juices. Also, so that I can decide who's going to survive this fracas. I'll give you a little hint: ABM and Dandy will :P

So, anyway, I don't know when I'll pick up the story again. It all depends on whether you guys want another series, or would prefer something to just wrap up the current storylines, and then for the show to go away forever. It's up to you guys.

Well, have fun over this little hiatus! And if you're interested, I'll be starting a Buffy spinoff shortly - keep an eye on my LJ for deets on that one.

It has been marvelous, ABM. I've enjoyed myself more than I have any right. Thank you for a great time. If you feel you have the time and energy, I'd really like for All My Boardies to continue. But, only it you are up to it. Perhaps a reduced schedule would benefit you. Whatever you decide, thank you again for a grand read.

I just got caught up, and I am so impressed at what you've created. It was spellbinding, full of twists and turns. Stormy and Toothy, were, I think the biggest surprise. Morgain's drug journey was amazing. And, of course, I loved the SeaBoys...all of them.

I vote to re-charge and come back with more! We need to know what happens.
