Author: Ardor, Steven, and Nightmare
Subject: If You Listen Just Right...

As the sun slowly awakes and brings itself to kiss the lands with it's favoring rays, two human beings and one of the canine genre emerge from the chilling darkness and into the warm light. The taller one, a young male no older then 12, leads a smaller boy who couldn't be older then 6. The younger one looks terrified, while the tall, dignified mascu seems to be nonchalant.

A mass of raven hair that runs to uncovered shoulders also covers handsome features...handsome but hateful and cold. The tall masculine is an eccentric one that has yet to enter these lands, with abilites that stretch for miles in communication with animals, shifting, telepathy, telekinesis, and teleportation, this youth was chased from his home at an early age because of the strange happenings around him. Long ago, the brute had a common name, but he took the liberty of changing it, and is now known as Ardor.

The other boy lived in these lands happily once upon a time...until an unknown force tore him away and left him to die in the woods. Saved by the strange boy next to him, Steven has always been in debt to the other for teaching him the ways of the wild. A gentle sigh escapes from his lips as he trudges on...a six year old boy that doesn't deserve the weight of the world upon his shoulders reenters a life that he once abandoned, and old terrors clutch his heart-were his parents truly still living?

The immense beast that follows is bonded for life to Ardor and would give his life for the boy's joy. A gentle growl flows from his vocal cords as the scent of humans enter his flarred nares, his body language describing hostility. 'Why here, Ardor?' The mental demand is harsh and furious...this is one wolf that despises humankind.

A gentle sigh escapes from the tall male as he offers the canine a furious glare. 'You know what Inferno told me...about Steven's parents being alive...you also know how he screams for them at night.' He declares harshly. The boy's wellbeing has become more natural then breathing, and he would do anything to see the youth smile more often.

He frowns up at Ardor. "I heard Nightmare...he doesn't like humans...you don't have to come...infact, we can go back." He offers in an emotionless tone.

Frowns and ruffles the boy's hair affectionately. "Don't listen to Nightmare, he doesn't know what he's talking about." He declares in a gentle tone.

The masculine brute lifts his lip and emits a hateful snarl, but he travels on without any further complaint.
