Subject: Was the Titanic ever near the Clyde?

An uncle of mine claimed he saw the Titanic on the Clyde when he was a lad living near Langbank, Scotland, in a farmhouse that looks across to Dumbarton Castle. He was born in 1904 and left the area in 1911. Was he pulling our collective legs?
I have been told that ships did their speed trials off the Isle of Arran which is near the mouth of the Clyde and they sometimes anchored overnight in the mouth of the Clyde.
Would anyone have any information where the Titanic completed her sea trials.
John
