Subject: Sept '05 Dog Events

September approaches and with it, hopefully, some nice cool dry weather. Those of you with Newfs, plan on attending FALL FUN DAY Sat 9/24 at Downs Park in Pasadena, MD. If anyone would like to volunteer to bring something (like a pack of hotdogs & rolls,12 pack of soda or especially a big cooler of ice) or do something (how can you resist the chance to clean- up?), please let me know. More info below.

If you'd like to help the animal victims of Hurricane Katrina, financial donations are being accepted to fund the animals' care through the Dr. Walter J. Ernst, Jr. Veterinary Memorial Foundation at the Louisiana Veterinary Medical Association at 1-800-524-2996.
Make checks payable to the LVMA Dr. Walter J. Ernst Veterinary Memorial Foundation (write Disaster Relief Fund on the memo line) and send to the LVMA, 8550 United Plaza Blvd., Suite 1001, Baton Rouge, LA 70809. Sun 9/11 11am- 4pm ANNAPOLIS, MD: The Anne Arundel Co. SPCA is having their 3rd annual dog wash which includes a brush, wash, rinse and towel dry. Last year the cost was $10 for dogs under 20lbs, $15 for 21- 60lbs and $20 for those 61 lbs and more; this year they're not telling.
