Subject: Jan '07 Annapolis/Balto/DC Area Dog Events

A Happy New Year to all of you! Too bad there's not much (as usual) going on in January, but still a few things, including the glorious World of Pets Expo on Jan 26- 28.

Sat 1/6/07 12N, LEWISBERRY PA: Arctic Air Games http://arcticairgames.com/ hosted by the Appalachian Air Canines indoors at Bella Vista's Training Center.

Sun 1/14 12 noon, ALEXANDRIA, VA: Meet at Barkley Square Dog Bakery http://www.barkleysquarebakery.com/ 1 Wales Alley, Alexandria VA to join the Dobie folks in a walk to honor the memory of one of their beloved volunteers, Laury Estrada http://www.dobe.net/events.htm .

Fri- Sun 1/26- 28, TIMONIUM, MD: Don't miss the fabulous World of Pets Expo http://www.worldofpets.org/ at the MD State Fairgrounds featuring shows, demos, seminars, food and vendors galore. We've gone every year they've had it and always had a ball, plus bought a lot of stuff at good prices. Yes, you can take your dog to enjoy it all with you. Hours: Fri 1/26 2- 7pm, Sat 1/27 10am- 7pm & Sun 1/28 10am- 5pm

Sun 2/4 10am- 2pm, LAUREL, MD: Fidos For Freedom offers CGC/TDI testing and a tattoo clinic for those looking for an alternative to Superbowl madness http://fidosforfreedom.org/ .

RECURRING EVENTS:

Every Fri 4- 8pm WASHINGTON, DC: Doggie Style Happy Hour http://www.doggiestylebakery.com/funevents/happyhours.htm on the covered patio of Adams Mill Bar & Grill, 18th & Columbia Rd. I'm skeptical as to whether this is still happening but there's no indication on the website.

Every Friday ~7pm-Newf Stroll at the city dock in Annapolis, Md weather permitting.

Every Sat 9am-11am, ARLINGTON, VA: Puppy Party- see http://www.arlingtondogs.org/puppies.shtml for details.

New! Every Sat 12n- 5pm Indoor Dog Park: Dogtopia Daycare, 4920 Wyaconda Rd in North Bethesda (White Flint) MD has 10,000 sg ft of climate controlled rubberized flooring where your dog can play for $10/dog on Saturdays. This franchise has other locations too; in Tyson's Corner VA, Prince William VA, Frederick MD, & Howard County MD but the annoying website http://dogdaycare.com/ made me unwilling to check them all out.

Every Sat GLEN BURNIE, MD: The Ordnance Rd Petsmart 410-582-9444 has indoor Play Sessions, 130-230 for small dogs & puppies, 330- 430 for everydog else. Call ahead first because times can change. Some of the other Petsmarts have these too.
