Cold & icy enough for you? Haha, just remember last year and hope we don't have another one like it. Below are the few Feb. highlights.

Looking for free, quick amusement? Go here http://www.masodigitalstudio.com/iconstory/ and hit "play" for a wishful look at your computer's desktop display. If it says anything about downloading Chinese characters, just hit cancel - it works fine without doing this.

Sun 2/1 10am- 2pm, LAUREL, MD: Fidos For Freedom offers CGC/TDI testing and pet portraits for those looking for an alternative to Superbowl madness http://www.fidosforfreedom.org/ .

Sat & Sun 2/7 & 8 10am, TIMONIUM, MD: Don't miss the fabulous World of Pets Expo http://worldofpets.org/ at the Md State Fairgrounds featuring shows, demos, seminars, food and vendors galore. We've gone every year they've had it and always had a ball, plus bought a lot of stuff at good prices. Yes, you can take your dog to enjoy it all with you and haul the loot. I figure I pay for it so he can carry it.

Sun 2/8 2pm, RESTON, VA: Enjoy a 2 mile hike at Fox Mill Park http://members.aol.com/nvhc/ scroll down to date.

Sat 2/14 & Sun 2/15, BALTIMORE, MD: Annapolis Kennel Club http://www.infodog.com/clubs/2004082301.HTM and Maryland KC host an indoor all-breed AKC dog show at the Fifth Regiment Armory.

Mon 2/16, ALEXANDRIA, VA: Really got cabin fever? Then go to the George Washington celebration http://www.washingtonbirthday.net/html/events.html in dog friendly Old Town Alexandria, including a parade at 1pm.

RECURRING EVENTS:

Every Friday ~7pm-Newf Stroll at the city dock in Annapolis, Md weather permitting. It hasn't permitted much lately.

Every Sat 9am-11pm, puppy parties, Arlington, Va http://www.arlingtondogs.org/puppies.html
Interested in Agility? Go to http://www.cleanrun.com/agilityinfo/events/eventsearch.cfm or http://www.infodog.com/showinfo/state.htm and put in your search criteria/locale.

Feel free to copy, forward or post this and if you hear of anything going on, let me know.

Monthly Dog Events are also posted at http://voy.com/52810/ , a free and easy to use bulletin board site. That way you can just bookmark it instead of saving/printing this. However, you can't click on the links; you have to copy/paste them.
