Date Posted: 6/08/08 11:18pm I am just discovering that the Bash has a message board! I just wanted to say how grateful I am for the Bash and for the efforts of everyone who put it together. It is the one time during the year that I can be myself and live fully in the moment without thoughts of self-consciousness or fear of rejection. It is truly a gift to the plus-sized community. Special thanks to all who made this year memorable -- Karen, Vanessa and Dana (from NYC), Jaime, James (smile to a great man!), Ron, Tim . . . and all those whose names I don't know who offered gestures of kindness and friendship! Thursday night saw an epic battle of titanic proportions, when the two biggest Trivia Heavyweights in Philly Bash history, yours truly and my partner, "Big Daddy" James went back and forth in the tightest battle of Music Trivia ever seen. Eventually, the King was defeated and I had to relinquish my crown to a worthy opponent. As the days following the Bash wore in, James and I recounted our titanic struggle. We eventually came up with the notion; Since we had so much fun participating in the game, how about this year we "one up" the stakes and HOST the game? So that's what we're going to do.. And we're pulling out all of the stops! Music! Movies! TV! Sports! Video Games! You name it, we're gonna bring it! The game won't be over until a winner is declared! As for a place to change there is a very large bathroom right down the hall from the hospitality suite that even has a sitting area with mirrors where you could touch up make up. But I'm also sure if you make friends someone would let you get ready in their room, then you could do your hair and makeup. We are a friendly bunch....just introduce yourself and don't be shy.
