The moment she heard of the great threat, she reared up furiously. She had to get back to the herd and warn the others. As soon as she landed on the ground, she charged off towards the herd. She had to help, but she also had to protect her colt. As she approached the willow she left him under, she was relieved to see him untouched and sleeping, but soon was tensed up, as she saw the eyes of one of the invaders as it slowly and silently got ready to attack Deimos. Her horn let off a golden light, that illuminated an area of around 6 feet around her as her fury rose. It would not lay a single hair on her son, and she would make sure of it. She sprang forward, ivories bared and flints slashing at the beast. She yelled out to Deimos, hoping to wake him. "Son! Awaken now! The herd is under attack!" She threw herself right into battle, stabbing, biting and slashing at the creature. Give her life for her herd, yes. Give her life for her son, of course. She wasn't afraid to die for the saftey of the herd, she was afraid of losing the herd itself.

He was resting peacefully under a willow when he heard the voice of his mother telling him to awaken. He expected it to be morning, but soon reliezed it was still night. He scrambled to his feet as he heard he talk of the attack. He was not prepared for what he saw when he looked behing him, his mother fighting with one of the invaders. He let out a shrill scream into the cold night sky as he backed away slightly. "This has to be a dweam. This has to be a dweam." He said to himself, scared and breathing heavily.

I can still feel you, even so far away
