Irish dancing is a great thing! You could totally start. But strting at an older age makes it harder for one to go to worlds. It takes a long time and A LOT of hard work to go to worlds...let alone Nationals. i'm sure if you work hard enough you could make it to feises...but since you'll be off to college in a couple years, it'll probably be hard for you to work hard enough for worlds. I'm not trying to be mean, just practical, but unfortunatly, I don't tihnk you would make it to worlds starting at the age you are...but you can still most definitly enjoy Irish dancing classes! Good luck!
